So I've had this sketch keep in my old sketchbook over 4 years since my college's years, untouched because I don't have any idea what to do with it that time. I don't have the courage to colour it either :p

Anyhow I dug up my old sketch book and when I found this sketch, I always love the design of the lions ever since I sketched it years ago. So I try to do them up and well, yeah..consider it as practice. Still have many things I should learn to represent the paintings well. Somebody teach me please ~ *_*

It's a piece that has been too long being worked on but I never satisfied with it...so consider it's done then.

This one I can say it finished ...finally.

I really in need to go someplace like this. Just listen to the sound of water droplets and the sound of the forest. I love beach so much too. Hate the everyday routines lately :(

India

I tried paint from a scene of a movie..

My choice is Park Chan Wook's Stoker, cause I love the color scheme in the movie so much, and also India ♥

Here's the scene I capture...

First I just put rough color to define the over all shape.

Then put it up to detail . Because it's a close up one, the face is the most I concern. Moreover, India's facial expressions is hard to make, since her character very unique. I spent a lot of time for her face.

After getting the big picture, next step is detailing and detailing. Define the shape and the value of every part like eyes, nose, lips, hair etc. more.

 Adding and refining the background...

Final step is to adjust the color, adjust the brightness and contrast...checking the value. I'm done with it, even if it's not clean and really similar to the example, I prefer to leave some rough brush strokes :)

The Rim Effect

...now I'm a huge fan of Guillermo del Toro newest Pacific Rim! So exciting! It's also best to write this while listening to the song you'll hear in every part of the movie.....

It is totally classical giant robots versus monsters, influenced by anime feeling...usually it turns out weird and a total dissapointment like Dragon Ball or Speed Racer.....but this one...quoting a friend, I would really wanted Guillermo to direct another anime-to-hollywood adaptation like Akira or Gantz! :))

Moreover there's Rinko Kikuchi here :) I like her a lot since I saw her first time at Babel, and also Norwegian Wood. And this is my most favorite scene of her in Pacific Rim...since I saw it, have had it in mind and totally would doodled that scene.....so here it is.....

Fireflies....and Chagan Sketch

 ...and days switching between cold and hot makes me feel really tired lately...but this unstable weather make an incredibly beautiful rare view yesterday night. There's an empty grassfield across the house, and guess what...it became a field  full with fireflies . It's really, really amazing like someone sprinkles ton of glitters over :) . Really built up the mood.

Back to the art....so I developed some Chagan here....maybe more to costumes and her styles, not yet deeper into her character. Personally love the middle ones, but she ended up looks too noble and aristocratic ....still missing something and maybe need to try to put some parts from one to another....Still cannot decide which is her...any suggestions?

Welcome to my small hut.
So I decided to start posting works of mine here, where I can create small world of mine :)

I always love to put cultural concept over my work, so recently what first come to my 'always goes-anywhere-daydreaming' mind is a story of 15 years old (or so) fantasy mongolian girl called Chagan. If what I looked up was right it means 'white' in mongolian.

Before I've done a concept of a firebird's son. And I think I will make this Chagan be the daughter of the White Tiger. A stubborn girl, with a white tiger which has been like family to her, fantasy mongolian village and snowy environment...will develop all that later. And here first sketch of Chagan. Enjoy~!
